One of the most exciting players in world soccer, this Moroccan defender is basically a cheat code — he plays defense but attacks like a winger, bombing up and down the right side of the field with pace that makes him nearly impossible to stop. He was a huge part of Morocco's legendary run to the 2022 World Cup semifinals, the first African nation ever to get that far, and he's arriving at 2026 as one of the best players on the planet playing for a club (Paris Saint-Germain) loaded with superstars. Morocco will be one of the most entertaining teams to watch, and Hakimi is their engine — the guy who can flip a game from "defending a corner" to "breaking on a fast attack" in about four seconds. Watch for him sprinting past defenders on the right side and whipping in crosses, and if he curls one into the top corner, don't act surprised.
